What can you do in Nice?
Beaches, nautical activities, relaxing and more

The first winter tourists came here for the nice climate and not so much the sea. With 300 days of sunshine a year, relaxation or physical activity by the sea didn’t become a major point of attraction for the city until later. Today, Nice is proud to have 20 public beaches and 15 private beaches spread across 7 km right in the city.
Our bathing waters meet the excellent standards of the European norms, while the Famille Plus label celebrates the provisions of supervised play areas for children and the petanque grounds for their parents. Each beach is unique in its own way, not a divergence from the landscape but a different way of seeing it. Most of them offer a range of different varied services. We have partnered with “Le Galet”, opened in 2017 and already a top attraction on the Promenade des Anglais to provide you with reduced prices and a special welcome, as well as with the famous Opéra Plage (the oldest beach in Nice). With double the choice, you’re sure to find something to suit your tastes - so why not have a taste of both?
If you love an adrenaline rush, you won’t have to look far to find something to satisfy you. Parasailing, fly-fishing, stand-up paddling, water skiing, underwater diving and sea kayaking along the coast are just some of the many possibilities of exploring Nice's maritime environment. If you’re less a fan of the sea but want to keep moving, you’ll love the Roller Station. Meanwhile, if you prefer swimming laps, the Piscine Jean Médecin covered pool will delight.
Of course, as we adore our city and region, we’ll be happy to share with you some great ideas for trips into the surrounding back-country or along the Côte d’Azur, where you can discover magnificent landscapes, fascinating museums and traditional restaurants. When you book, don’t hesitate to ask for some advice to prepare your holiday!
